About the role
- Be the right hand person to the CEO, handling finance and FinOps at a fintech startup. Involved in financial modelling, forecasting, and strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Finance and FinOps
- Weekly / monthly accounting, payroll and annual audits
- Financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and fundraising support
- Pay close attention to our PnL and help optimise the margins
- Maintain our treasury with rigor and obsession over detail
- Manual payouts to customers and manual debt collection
- General FinOps
- Customer support
- Compliance and risk management
- Stay on top of all relevant compliance requirements
- Monitor all transactions for potential risks through Jarvis, our company AI.
- Form our first line of defence against fraud
- Work hand in hand with our compliance expert
- Credit
- Establish and maintain our credit line
- Take ownership of our credit scoring algorithms
- Ensure that we hit our default rate targets.
- Stay on top of all relevant topics
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as an operator in a ScaleUp.
- Bonus points for: Exposure to FinTech (+++)
- Exposure to fundraising
- Exposure to international payments
- Exposure to credit and SMB lending
- Exposure to accounting
- 3+ years of experience in the following data modelling tools Python, SQL, Excel
- Bonus points for exposure to tools like Metabase, ETL-tools similar to Weld, etc.
- Bonus exposure to data pipelines
- 3+ years of relevant experience from top tier IB, management consulting or a high growth startup environment
- Relevant, tier 1 Bachelor / Master program required. We make an individual assessment for each case on what relevant tier 1 means. We do also make exceptions here in rare cases.
