Responsibilities
Define and lead Global Medical Affairs strategy for technology, AI, and data innovation
Govern a portfolio of high-impact tech and AI projects ensuring quality, budget alignment, and resource optimization
Translate complex medical challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions
Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and new ways of working across Global Medical Affairs
Lead the Novartis Knowledge Centre and enterprise-wide information management
Build capabilities in AI, data literacy, and medical innovation
Foster high-performing cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide partnerships
Influence senior stakeholders across Research, Development, Commercial, and Digital functions to deliver solutions that accelerate medical strategy
Requirements
Advanced degree in life sciences, STEM, or business preferred (MSc, PhD, MBA)
Extensive experience in healthcare, technology, or business transformation
Proven leadership in medical affairs, drug development, or commercial strategy
Successful track record advocating for funding and strategic support for AI initiatives
Expertise in AI, advanced analytics, and digital product implementation
Strong track record in leading global teams and delivering enterprise-scale innovation
Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with knowledge management and information management
Familiarity with clinical practices and clinical trials (listed in desired skills)
