Lead Consultant for Generative AI solutions at Theta, a New Zealand technology company. Shaping innovative AI strategies and developing transformative solutions for enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of GenAI solutions across text, image, and audio modalities.
Build production-ready PoCs and integrate services using modern SDKs/APIs.
Drive best practices in AI safety, performance tuning, and observability.
Take ownership of secure and responsible AI development – including token/secret hygiene, PII protection, content safety, and prompt injection prevention
Participate in activities and providing pre-sales demos, scope projects, and mentor both clients and consultants
Contribute to and lead approved R&D initiatives and help shape Theta’s AI strategy.
Requirements
Strong coding skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript (C# a bonus) and modern SDKs/APIs
Comfortable with tool‑calling/agent frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel, LangChain) and evaluation pipelines.
Proficiency with CI/CD, GitHub, and telemetry-driven optimisation.
Familiarity with enterprise Copilot adoption and multimodal AI.
Skilled in fine-tuning API-driven systems to balance performance and cost, using telemetry‑driven insights to guide optimisation
Agile mindset with excellent communication and facilitation skills.
