About the role
- Full-Stack Lead Engineer contributing to AI-powered workflows at CareerGenie. Leading development across web and mobile platforms with exposure to innovative tech solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-stack development: Contribute across our platform, React (web), Node.js (backend), React Native (mobile).
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Product and Design to scope, plan, and deliver features.
- Build AI-powered workflows: Support features built around AI agents, voice interactions, and n8n automations.
- Mentor and guide engineers: Establish code quality standards, review PRs, and help grow the team.
- Own infrastructure: Manage performance, scalability, and reliability of our services, hosted on Azure.
- Iterate fast: Embrace a builder mindset prototype quickly, ship, learn, improve.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience (React, Node.js, REST APIs)
- Experience leading projects or small engineering teams
- Comfort working with React Native or mobile-first development
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and deployment workflows
- Exposure to AI-driven product features (e.g., GPT APIs, voice agents, intelligent UIs)
- Based in Portugal with fluent English communication skills
