Field Service Technician responsible for diagnostics and repairs of commercial vehicles in the UK and Europe. Handling mechanical and electrical issues with a focus on client satisfaction and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Conduct Inspections and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using designated diagnostic tools and equipment.
Conduct thorough on vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues.
Perform necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and high-voltage systems.
Perform regular maintenance services and regulatory inspections inline with the operators ops license requirements, ensuring compliance & optimal vehicle performance.
Analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions in real-time.
Communicate effectively with customers & key stakeholders to understand their concerns and provide updates on repair progress.
Respond promptly & in accordance with the service level agreement to service escalations from customers or dispatchers.
Perform on-site repairs or maintenance at the operator’s depot or agreed service location, ensuring correct parts and tooling requirements are met.
Identify opportunities for enhancing vehicle performance, efficiency, and safety.
Provide invaluable feedback for future vehicle programs/projects.
Maintain detailed records of all services performed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Responsible to track the use of & replenishment of spare parts & consumables.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Travel to Maribor, Slovenia for training and as required.
Requirements
Several years of experience in automotive repair, particularly with commercial vehicles.
NVQ Level 3, national diploma or equivalent, High Voltage training
Electrical and Mechanical experience ideally in the bus industry, EV (Electric Vehicle) HV (High Voltage) experience preferred.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks and work in various environments.
