About the role

• Director of Project Management overseeing project management staff in a biopharmaceutical company. Focused on maximizing employee performance and ensuring project deliverables are met.

Responsibilities

• Provides management support and direct supervision to Project Management staff
• Responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of individualized development plans
• Maximizes employee performance through coaching and hands-on operational and financial project support
• Supports growth and development of line reports through collaboration with project teams
• Utilizes relevant systems and reports to monitor applicable study level metrics
• Builds strong relationships with line reports and provides continuous monitoring/support of employee motivation and job satisfaction
• Drives development and implementation of tools, processes and engagement strategies
• Onboards employees according to country-specific employment regulations
• Provides feedback to line reports both real-time and through the appraisal process
• Performs ongoing assessment of employee training needs
• Act as a change agent
• Leads interview and selection process of project management staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing degree, or equivalent related experience
• extensive clinical research experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Company
• extensive knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirement
• strong PM delivery capability as evidenced by a successful track record of managing clinical projects
• demonstrated ability to develop talent
• ability to juggle a large team and prioritize key areas that drive maximum impact
• excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and change management skills, both written and spoken
• strong time management, technical and organizational skills
• knowledge of basic financial concepts related to forecasting and budgeting
• must demonstrate good computer skills
• ability to travel as necessary (up to 25%)
