Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, fostering a GitOps culture for automated, version-controlled, and trackable infrastructure changes.
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure for distributed systems, ensuring scalability to handle millions of records and users efficiently.
- Set up and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure real-time insights and proactive issue resolution, maintaining system health and performance.
- Work closely with domain experts, the editorial team, and development teams in an agile environment, benefiting from a collaborative network that supports you through technical challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related technical roles.
- Strong passion for learning and continuous improvement in fast-evolving technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and building systems that enhance scalability and reliability.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, with ability to work in complex, high-availability environments.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred); knowledge of Cloudflare and GitLab is a plus.

- Very good written and spoken German and English.
