About the role
- Demand Planner responsible for forecasting customer demand and optimizing inventory levels at ASC Engineered Solutions. Collaborating with Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams in the PVF industry.
Responsibilities
- Ownership and responsibility for a key set of accounts. Requires close collaboration with customers.
- Coordination of planning activities for large projects and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Ownership in the SIOP process by providing guidance on customer needs (from your key accounts), large projects you own, and overall channel intelligence from your Commercial partners.
- Develop, maintain, and update demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, and customer insights.
- Analyze demand patterns and variances to support decision-making in procurement, inventory, and sales planning.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams to align forecasts with strategic objectives.
- Establish and monitor inventory targets to balance product availability with cost efficiency.
- Partner with Supply Planning team to ensure lead-time reliability and mitigate supply risks.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP and forecasting systems to support planning and reporting.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and fill rates.
- Identify and escalate risks related to demand variability, project-driven requirements, and market changes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting and inventory management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management; PVF or industrial distribution industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and forecasting software required.
- Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) demand planning solutions preferred.
- APICS CSCP, CPIM, or other supply chain certifications preferred.
