About the role
- Data Governance Manager driving data management and governance for finance transformation at Lloyds Banking Group. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development and implementation of the Groups data policy & lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Cards Platform Data Lead, Business and Technical Platform colleagues including, Product Owners, Engineers, Integrators and CDAO.
- Own and implement the data governance policies and procedures establishing and enforcing data management standards.
- Empower, encourage, and motivate those around you to take ownership of the initiatives to ensure we achieve optimal data driven outcomes for the business and our customers.
- Be a subject matter expert for data management and governance across the business and platform teams supporting data change activities.
- Deliver prescribed outcomes by working as directed within established data management systems and procedures.
- Write and edit materials for various target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.
- Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, then use established change management programmes to deliver prescribed outcomes and/or provide support services.
Requirements
- Career background working as a Data Manager & exposure to Data Governance activities.
- Working knowledge of Collibra for Metadata Management.
- Tasks to ensure platform application metadata complies with policy via annual reviews and updates through change.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, data privacy and data controls, plus how they strategically fit in a large-scale organisation.
- Good working knowledge of data policies and controls.
- Experience presenting & reporting to a range of key stakeholders.
- Experience supporting & managing a small team or developing junior staff.
- If you have any exposure to financial services or credit card products that would be advantageous.
