About the role
- Data Engineer responsible for building and optimizing data architecture to support reporting and analytics at Epic Staffing Group. Ensuring scalability and reliability of data infrastructure across systems.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains enterprise data architecture that supports efficient integration, transformation, and storage across systems.
- Establishes and manages frameworks that ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability of data models supporting business intelligence and analytics.
- Oversees integration processes that connect internal and external data sources into unified, trusted datasets.
- Designs and maintains automated data workflows that streamline movement, transformation, and monitoring across platforms.
- Utilizes programming and automation techniques to optimize performance and reduce manual intervention.
- Ensures data pipelines operate with accuracy, timeliness, and reliability to meet evolving business requirements.
- Implements standards and controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in data engineering or cloud-based data platform development.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedure development.
- Practical experience with modern data architecture and integration tools within a cloud environment.
- Strong knowledge of Python for data transformation, automation, and API integration.
- Proven ability to design and implement REST or SOAP APIs for data connectivity.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star schema, dimensional modeling, and data vault design.
- Experience integrating data from CRM, ERP, ATS, and financial systems to support enterprise reporting.
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing concepts, including governance, quality, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language as required for effective performance of job duties.
