About the role
- Data Analyst providing actionable insights based on data analysis for a multi-regulated broker. Collaborating with stakeholders and developing visualizations to communicate findings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Product Owners/Analysts to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights based on data analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of large, complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights in collaboration with the rest of BI team members
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
- Explore possibilities for valuable external data sources that could be used in combination with existing data sets to provide insightful information
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, highly preferably in the Finance sector
- Strong analytical and logical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to identify, extract and manipulate data to highlight trends and deficiencies
- Good experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau and ability to choose the most appropriate visuals based on the purpose of the analysis
- Solid understanding of SQL language along with Data Modeling design principles and DAX language
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences
- Curiosity to investigate causes and effects and Team Play attitude
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with strong communication and collaboration skills
