Responsibilities
Guide businesses through achieving Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification
Assess customer IT environments against core security controls
Spot gaps, recommend fixes, and help coordinate certification readiness
Explain needed changes to customers and work with engineering and support teams on complex tasks
Help customers understand security posture and identify risks
Prepare evidence packs for IASME assessors and support CE+ audits
Become a trusted advisor to customers in the cybersecurity domain
Requirements
Real experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity operations, or managed services
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure administration (tenant config, conditional access, security features)
Hands-on experience with endpoint protection and patch management platforms like Microsoft Intune or Datto RMM
Understanding of network architecture, firewalls, and perimeter security
Familiarity with malware protection platforms such as Bitdefender, Microsoft Defender, or EDR/antivirus solutions
The ability to explain technical security concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Excellent organisational skills with meticulous documentation habits
A calm, professional approach when juggling multiple client engagements
Direct Cyber Essentials or CE+ assessment experience (preferred)
Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC2, or the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (preferred)
Certifications like CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or IASME Practitioner (preferred)
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms (preferred)
Exposure to SOC services, SIEM platforms, or MDR/EDR/XDR solutions (preferred)
