About the role

• Country Engineering Leader managing a team of engineers at Honeywell Building Solutions. Leading technical support and ensuring quality engineering solutions in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 10 Application Engineers at HBS Germany.
• Support the team through hands-on engineering activities.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and networking to promote best practices among project engineers on-site and across the HBS Germany region.
• Guide and support technical planning, solution development, design verification, and provide support to Honeywell Building Solutions Germany’s project, service and sales teams to ensure optimal technical solutions.
• Implement, advocate for, and continuously audit standard engineering processes, libraries and tools.
• Assist in identifying regional training needs and in developing and delivering tailored technical training courses to enhance technical and product knowledge and skills.
• Provide input and feedback to the DACH engineering team as needed.
• Provide technical advice and validation of custom technical system designs.
• Support customer and product demonstrations for sales and product management.
• Ensure resource planning and deployment of the GE engineering team’s personnel.
• Coordinate technical support for project teams as required.
• Conduct technical risk reviews when required as part of the sales approval process.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering and/or at least 10 years of engineering experience in the relevant disciplines.
• Green Belt certification (preferred).
• German – native; English – good proficiency (at least B2 level).
• Engineering leadership experience; experience in change management.
• Knowledge of Honeywell product offerings and solutions in HVAC, automation, visualization and security systems.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience developing technical solutions and in problem solving and process change/improvement.
