About the role
- Full-Stack Engineer designing and building tools for a new ChatGPT developer ecosystem. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, reliable, and scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end platform features that power the ChatGPT Apps SDK and broader developer ecosystem.
- Design and implement APIs, services, and interfaces that enable developers to build and integrate applications within ChatGPT.
- Improve developer workflows, tooling, and documentation to make building on ChatGPT intuitive and scalable.
- Partner closely with Product, Security, Trust & Safety, and Research to ship high-quality, safe, and reliable platform capabilities.
- Iterate quickly based on developer feedback to continuously improve the platform and ecosystem experience.
- Help define the technical direction and architecture of the ChatGPT Ecosystem as it scales.
Requirements
- Enjoy building high-quality product and platform experiences across the full stack.
- Are comfortable owning features from concept to production in a fast-moving environment.
- Have experience working with modern web technologies and backend systems (language/framework flexibility is fine).
- Have experience building developer tools, APIs, or platforms (e.g., SDKs, integrations, open source projects, or internal tooling).
- Care deeply about developer experience and designing intuitive, well-crafted interfaces and abstractions.
- Like tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear, scalable solutions.
- Are excited about building foundational systems that other developers will build on top of.
- Have experience with or interest in AI-powered applications and LLM-based systems.
