About the role
- Contract Negotiator supporting end-to-end contracting process at Cloudflare. Collaborating with Sourcing and Commercial Legal teams while managing procurement agreements and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end contracting process including contract negotiations, contract management, contract administration, and supplier relationship management functions across all business segments within Cloudflare.
- Be the internal point of contact for key contracting related activity within the procurement function.
- Work closely with the Sourcing and Commercial Legal team.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of procurement agreements, ensuring terms align with company policies and risk tolerance.
- Identify and mitigate contractual, legal, and commercial risks through detailed review and collaboration with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve contract-related issues efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements throughout the contracting process.
- Manage agreements from intake through execution, leveraging contract management tools and systems to drive efficiency and visibility across the lifecycle.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience managing commercial contracts within Procurement, Sourcing, or a Commercial Legal environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal experience preferred.
- Familiarity with SaaS, cybersecurity, internet infrastructure, OEM suppliers, and marketing technology solutions is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of commercial contract law, data security, and privacy regulations.
- Ability to assess risk, identify creative solutions, and provide sound business recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Ironclad, Zip, or similar CLM and intake management tools preferred.
