About the role
- Category Manager developing strategies for electrical and electromechanical components at AIXTRON. Collaborating on supplier selection and negotiations to improve cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategy: Define the strategic direction for your categories in the area of electrical and electromechanical modules and components.
- Global market analysis & supplier selection: Conduct international procurement market analyses and manage the entire selection process for new suppliers — from tendering and evaluation to award and contract drafting.
- Negotiation with foresight: Lead price and contract negotiations with international suppliers and service providers — consistently, respectfully and purposefully.
- Supplier management & audits: Optimize the existing supplier base through systematic evaluations and support audits to ensure quality and compliance standards.
Requirements
- You hold a university degree.
- You have several years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement of electrical and electromechanical modules and components.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills enable you to take a strategic approach to complex tasks.
- You present yourself confidently and have proven yourself as an experienced negotiation partner in both national and international contexts.
- Your assertiveness is paired with a communicative and team-oriented personality.
- You are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written (negotiation level).
- You have good knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
