About the role
- Category Leader managing technology and sourcing for embedded software production programs. Overseeing procurement execution and supplier management for automotive and technology sectors.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sourcing for embedded software in production programs — RFQs, PR/POs, contracts, invoicing, and payments
- Ensure timely, cost-effective supplier deliverables by maintaining clear channels between Aptiv teams and suppliers
- Lead QBRs with supplier leadership to secure alignment, track performance, and strengthen Aptiv’s leverage across programs
- Support pursuits and next-gen programs by driving early supplier engagement and alignment with product roadmaps
- Collect and maintain supplier data — roadmaps, commercial models, benchmarking
- Manage supplier scorecards, dashboards, and performance reporting in line with SCM and GPO standards
Requirements
- 5–7 years in technology program management, systems engineering, or procurement (automotive/technology/software preferred)
- Hands-on experience in procurement execution (RFQs, contracts, invoicing, payments)
- Working knowledge of the embedded software and automotive silicon vendor ecosystem
- Strong organizational skills for QBRs, trackers, and cross-functional deliverables
- Clear communicator; able to present to leadership and drive alignment
