About the role

Responsibilities
- Innovate: Design end-to-end AI solutions using information retrieval techniques and robust training/evaluation methodologies
- Build & Deliver: Develop, test, and deploy live production systems in collaboration with engineering
- Work Autonomously & With a Team: Solve problems in a self-directed manner while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Make Sound Technical Choices: Determine appropriate data, modeling approaches, and evaluation strategies for NLP and IR problems
- Communicate & Align: Engage stakeholders to understand business problems and domains, shaping objectives and goals
- Operationalize ML: Understand and inform MLOps processes for monitoring, evaluation, and retraining
- Advance the Field: Publish at top venues and contribute to patents
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field, or a Master's with equivalent research/industry experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying deep learning models for NLP or IR applications
- Expertise in large language models (LLMs)
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) and experience with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Proven ability to translate complex problems into innovative AI applications
- Publications at relevant venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGIR, or KDD
