About the role
- Data Engineer role in an E-commerce company enhancing Data-Warehouse platform using dbt and SQL. Involves collaboration with Data Engineers and Analysts for optimal data modeling and reports.
Responsibilities
- Build and further develop our data warehouse platform with dbt and SQL for a modern data ecosystem
- Model according to Data Vault 2.0
- Develop standardized and scalable data models for analyses and reports
- Apply software development principles such as version control, testing and CI/CD
- Collaborate with our Data Engineers and Data Analysts
- Train users in working with data models and reports
- Support the design of Data Marts and Power BI datasets
Requirements
- Must have: professional experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist or in a comparable role
- Experience modeling data structures, ideally using Data Vault
- Confident in SQL
- Experience with dbt, BigQuery and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow)
- Quality-focused, precise working style and strong analytical skills
- German language skills at least B2 level and English at least A2 level
- Nice to have: experience with Azure SQL and Power BI
- We would be particularly pleased to see prior experience with data structures and processes in e‑commerce
