Responsibilities
Develops and provides technical expertise related to various application teams
Works with Business Partners to understand business requirements and converts those into technical requirements
Designs and develops customizations, conversions, and interfaces as necessary
Creates data and process flow diagrams to represent system design
Develops implementation plan and coordinates go-live and change management
Provides warranty period production support for applications
Develops strategic alliance with Business Partners
Analyzes business requirements and develops technical requirements
Applies design best practices, identifies risks, and provides effort estimates
Creates and documents technical design specifications and data/process flow diagrams
Deploying logical and physical data models and building automated and scalable data pipelines
Works on S/W development best practices like code review, CI/CD, release management and version control
Works independently across various projects and as part of Scrum team
Provides insight and recommendations to data team and other stakeholders
Works with Security and Operations team to ensure data and solution compliance
Requirements
College or university degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
5+ years as Software Engineer/Developer
Hands-on experience with application development and production support
Experience in technical design for enhancements
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with Data Warehouse and mining utilities (Snowflake knowledge is a plus)
Proficient in ETL and ELT tools with Snowflake
Familiarity with programming languages like Python and R
Knowledge of data modeling and database management
Familiarity with APIs, XML, JSON, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX
Experience with database software like Oracle, MySQL, DB2
Knowledge of data integration tools and job schedulers (Talend and JAMS are plus)
