Responsibilities
Programs and runs computer jobs to collect data and summarizes to assist in various actuarial functions
Provides initial analysis of the data and impact on the company’s financials
Performs actuarial tasks which are of a mathematical and quantitative nature
Compiles and categorizes data, documenting and verifying factors used in computations such as those used in evaluating loss and expense reserves, preparing rate filings, schedules of statistics, financial statements, premiums, benefits and establishing rating and pricing levels
Gains familiarity about specific product lines, company operations, systems and actuarial methodology through completion of actuarial exams
Actively pursue actuarial accreditation
Maintains good standing in the actuarial student program
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics
Successful completion of two (2) actuarial exams
Completion of one internship prior to graduation
Commitment and capability to pass one additional actuarial exam every 6-18 months
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite & exposure to database tools and other programming languages (such as C++, Visual Basic)

Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to master actuarial course material
Basic organization and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines
