Internal Accountant managing supplier accounts and financial operations for a growing FinTech company. Ensuring reliable reporting and contributing to international growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Ensure the quality of accounting and analytical postings in Pennylane to provide reliable, actionable reporting.
Prepare and schedule supplier payments while optimizing cash flows.
Serve as the point of contact with vendors for unpaid invoices and disputes, ensuring prompt, documented resolution.
Drive supplier data quality in coordination with the Procurement team and through our Pivot tool.
Analyze the aged accounts payable and recommend corrective actions (process, cut-off, payment terms) to prevent issues.
Manage cut-offs (accrued expenses/unbilled invoices) and conduct the monthly review of expenses to maintain stable month-end closes within 4 days (D+4).
Contribute to VAT preparation: reconciliations, controls and reporting elements.
Process expense reports and employee card expenses ensuring compliance and timeliness.
Ensure integration of travel expenses into the ledger via our TravelPerk tool.
Manage the full fixed assets lifecycle in Pennylane (recording, depreciation, reconciliations).
Oversee capitalized production (software/R&D) and contribute to the CIR (Research Tax Credit) file to convert our tech efforts into financial value.
Participate in key structural projects: group consolidation, carbon accounting (VSME), and strengthening international accounting processes.
Standardize and automate where relevant (checklists, frontline controls, reconciliations).
Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in corporate accounting: strong command of the accounts payable cycle and initial experience with fixed assets and international accounting.
Rigour, strong attention to detail, a quality-oriented mindset and curiosity.
Proficiency with accounting software (Pennylane is a plus) and spreadsheet tools (Excel/Google Sheets).
Collaborative mindset: you enjoy working in pairs, sharing best practices, documenting processes and helping the team grow.
