About the role

Responsibilities
- You support a diversified client portfolio, mainly composed of SMEs, throughout the year in managing their accounting and tax obligations.
- Post accounting entries and verify financial records.
- Reconcile and analyze supplier and customer balances.
- Prepare and file VAT returns.
- Assist in preparing interim financial statements and year-end closings.
- Prepare tax returns (corporate tax, personal income tax) and filings with the National Bank of Belgium (NBB).
- Support and advise clients on accounting and tax matters.
- Gradually manage a diverse client portfolio under the supervision of a partner or senior colleague.
- Represent Altesia to clients and contribute to client satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or a master’s degree in tax law.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in an accounting firm.
- Interest in taxation.
- Strong client rapport and a desire to build trusted relationships.
- Dynamic, proactive and curious.
- Organized with rigor and strong follow-up on files.
- Excellent command of French; English or Dutch is a plus.
