About the role
- Liability Trial Attorney representing commercial insureds of a well-respected insurance carrier. Handling moderate to high exposure litigation, preparing cases, and maintaining ethical standards in legal practice.
Responsibilities
- Represent the commercial insureds of a prestigious commercial insurance carrier
- Prepare and try moderate to high exposure General Liability, Commercial Auto and Products Liability cases
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Manage pre-trial discovery, hearings and trials
- Collaborate with claims adjusters and develop case strategies
- Maintain legal compliance and ensure confidentiality of claims information
- Mentor lower level attorneys
Requirements
- Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Litigation area
- Member in good standing of the California State Bar Association
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation legal environment
