Responsibilities
Generate cost transparency with Best Practice Cost calculations, CE Reporting and forecasting for Design-to-Cost /Target Cost Achievement
Support Benchmarking (commercial evaluation) and conduct tear down workshops
Calculation for Design-to-Cost / Cost Down Idea evaluation, Support Change Management
Develop best practice procedures and create a knowledge data base on product group
Support Target Costing based on best practice analysis
Support Target Cost Management and reporting of target achievement
Coordinate projects concerning achievement of target costs with an appropriate set of methods & tools
Give consulting support and act as interface partner of domains Development, Production, Purchasing, VA/VE
Requirements
Engineering science or business/commercial degree or similar
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a responsibility suitable for Cost Engineering
Understanding of a variety of manufacturing/automotive processes and components
Ability to evaluate and analyze associated costs
Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data
Commercially and financially aware
Ability to show evidence of adding value and cost optimization
Analytical capabilities, solution oriented, accurate and self-dependent way of working
Very good English and German language skills
