Team Lead Engineering at ZEAL Network driving innovation in Back Office systems. Manage a new engineering team with strong technical leadership.
Responsibilities
Set up and shape the team: Hire and onboard the first Front-End Engineer as part of your team
Lead technically and strategically: Define and drive architectural decisions, from selecting frameworks to designing system boundaries
Code as part of the team: While guiding architecture and strategy, you’ll regularly write production code, contribute to features, and help solve complex technical challenges alongside your team
Bridge architecture and UX: Deliver robust and maintainable technical solutions while focusing on great user experiences for internal teams such as Customer Care, PFV, Finance, and others
Enable other core teams: Ensure the Back Office platform can be easily extended by other core platform teams through reusable components, internal tooling, and shared patterns
Drive collaboration: Work closely with other Core Platform teams to align APIs, technical interfaces, and architectural consistency
Balance technical ambition with pragmatic delivery: Work with product and stakeholders to reduce internal friction and manual work through automation
Requirements
Leadership experience in building and managing engineering teams (ideally in a cross-functional or platform context)
Hands-on technical background in modern web technologies (e.g., TypeScript, React, Node.js, microservices) and architectural design
Strong experience with user-facing tooling or internal platforms, ideally Back Office or admin tools
Deep understanding of internal user needs: you’ve worked with or supported non-technical stakeholders before and know how to prioritize their challenges
Familiarity with QA practices and test automation strategies
Comfortable operating in a platform environment where cross-team collaboration is key
Passion for mentoring and growing engineers
