• Junior Infrastructure Engineer at XR Trading focusing on network engineering and data center operations. Support day-to-day operations while collaborating with senior engineers in a high-performance trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, cabling, labeling, documentation, and troubleshooting of physical equipment in a colocation environment
• Support day-to-day operation of network and infrastructure environments
• Help monitor, investigate, and resolve network, hardware, and connectivity issues
• Work with senior engineers on troubleshooting packet loss, latency, routing, and equipment failures
• Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and operational procedures
• Assist with hardware shipments, vendor coordination, and equipment lifecycle tasks
• Contribute to automation and process improvement where possible
• Support maintenance work outside normal business hours as needed, including occasional Saturdays and Sundays

Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to thoroughly document implementations, modifications and removals
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network fundamentals
• Exposure to troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump or Wireshark
• Able to work independently, follow through on operational tasks, and learn quickly from experienced teammates
• Exposure to concepts of automation and scripting languages (python)
• Candidates with a CCNA, or who are actively working toward one, will stand out
