About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationship with Department managers to help coordinate and monitor financial controls over cost centers
- Coordinate accounting and financial processes to maximize efficiency
- Maintain general ledger to submit accurate financial data during month-end process
- Lead and coordinate month end variance analysis
- Oversee month end general ledger reconciliations
- Oversee and review work of assigned Accounting Department staff
- Develop and submit analytical financial data as needed by department director/manager
- Assist in completing financial support documentation for budget and audits
- Train new personnel and monitor their progress
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Three (3) years of accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Hospital based or healthcare accounting experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with computer databases and spreadsheet software, with strong understanding of Excel
