About the role
- Consultant/Engineer for Sustainable Building and Certification at WSP focused on innovative solutions for sustainable buildings and neighborhoods.
Responsibilities
- Independent project work including time, budget and quality management
- Preparation, coordination and documentation of all certification steps
- Primarily advising architects and clients on complex building projects on all questions related to the sustainability of new and existing buildings, in particular:
- Development of sustainability concepts for buildings and neighborhoods
- Execution of building certifications (DGNB, BNB, QNG, NaWoh, LEED, WELL)
- Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Life Cycle Cost Analyses (LCC)
- Preparation of CO2 accounts and climate protection concepts
- Advice on ESG criteria / ESG assessments and on EU Taxonomy requirements
Requirements
- Completed diploma or master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or in physics
- At least 2 years of project experience in sustainable building
- Training as an auditor, coordinator or AP (e.g., Accredited Professional) in one of the certification systems DGNB, BNB or LEED
- Experience with LCA / LCC tools (e.g., OneClick LCA, eLCA)
- Understanding of ESG reporting, the EU Taxonomy or CRREM
- Knowledge of plant and building simulation (focus on dynamic energy simulation, daylight and CFD simulation, e.g., IDA ICE, EnergyPlus, TRNSYS) is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of BIM (Revit, ArchiCAD) is an advantage
- Proven strong German and English skills, both written and spoken
