Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will be responsible for management control of a strategic and operational scope, acting as a key Business Partner for Operations and Support functions. Your mission will focus on cost control (OPEX) and inventory management optimization, ensuring the reliability of financial data and performance steering.
Responsibilities and Duties
Inventory Cost Control and Supply Chain Link
• Strategic Inventory Management: Ensure the valuation and reliability of inventory, including defining depreciation rules (returned products, end-of-life) and analyzing finished goods cost variations in coordination with Purchasing.
• Operational Oversight: Provide the financial interface between Production and Sales, controlling inventories and analyzing stock levels.
Business Partner Role & OPEX Management (R&D, IT, G&A, Customer Service)
• Strategic Partnership & Challenge: Serve as the preferred financial partner to operational directors (R&D, IT, etc.), analyzing expenses (vs budget/forecast) and acting as an early warning to challenge and optimize operational costs and investments.
• Budgeting Process: Actively contribute, together with the teams, to the preparation and monitoring of Budget and Forecast cycles for your OPEX scope.
Closing/Budget/Forecast & Information Systems
• Closings: Calculate and record accounting provisions affecting your scope. Analyze profitability vs budget (unexpected costs, OPEX...).
• Tools: Ensure the accuracy of financial data in the company’s key systems: SAP, Power BI, Anaplan.
Ad hoc
• Perform one-off analyses for product launch/event projects, studies, etc.
• Manage the full P&L of our subsidiary Impeto.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and mindset:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) with a specialization in Management Control, Audit and/or Finance.
You have 1 to 3 years of proven experience in a similar role (including internships), enabling you to master closing processes and budget planning.
You are recognized for your rigor, organization, and excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
You have strong command of information systems, including:
• Advanced proficiency in office tools (advanced Excel).
• Knowledge of an ERP (ideally SAP) is desired.
• Familiarity with a Business Intelligence tool (Power BI) and/or budgeting/planning tool (Anaplan) is a strong asset.
You are fluent in English (written and spoken), essential for interacting with our international teams (Boston, Hong Kong, Shenzhen).
