About the role
- Fullstack Developer enhancing gaming experiences at Whow Games in Hamburg. Working on backend development and collaborating with a diverse team to improve gaming products.
Responsibilities
- Further development of our games portal, with a focus on designing and implementing new features, especially backend development
- Creating, maintaining and supporting our web and mobile APIs
- Ongoing bug fixing and product optimization: identifying and resolving software defects and improving game performance to ensure a smooth player experience and high customer satisfaction
- Close collaboration with our team — including project managers, designers, developers, support staff, QA and BI — to develop shared creative concepts and improve our product
Requirements
- Proven several years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js and PHP
- Knowledge of AngularJS, HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus
- Experience with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Strong abstract and analytical thinking skills as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing and introducing these practices into existing projects
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
- Experience with CI/CD and containerization is a plus
- Experience with API-driven development (OpenAPI) is a plus
