About the role
- PMO Manager helping in the establishment of the Project Management Office for strategic initiatives. Overseeing project guidelines and standards for success and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Establish, further develop and embed the central Project Management Office (PMO) as a staff unit reporting to executive management
- Support executive management in translating corporate strategy into programs, projects and concrete measures
- Structure, prioritize and steer strategic projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain a company-wide project landscape (roadmaps, milestones, dependencies)
- Ensure consistent project methodologies, standards and tools across the company
- Monitor project progress with regard to schedules, costs, quality and target achievement
- Perform project and portfolio controlling including status reports, decision papers and management dashboards
- Identify risks, deviations and conflicting objectives and derive appropriate measures
- Facilitate project steering committees and workshops
- Work closely with executive management, leaders and business units
- Support change and transformation projects
- Develop appropriate KPIs to measure success
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in project management, PMO or strategic-related functions
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Strong understanding of business processes, organizational structures and commercial relationships
- Confident use of project management methods (classic/waterfall, hybrid or agile)
- Experience in project and portfolio controlling
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience in management consulting is an advantage
