About the role
- Lead Engineer guiding fleet design strategy for AP1000 plants at Westinghouse. Responsible for technical oversight and mentoring in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Define Design & Delivery Strategies.
- Develop strategies for Nuclear Island (NI) design and delivery.
- Develop strategies for Turbine Island (TI) design and delivery.
- Define and maintain the design baseline and standard Index of Engineering Documents based on standard product definition
- Shape strategies for metrication and requirements management
- Lead main technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners suppliers, fabricators, and customers
- Identify and define technical risks and challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, MS in Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in a technical leadership role, either as a technical lead or project manager
- Experience in AP1000 plant or new nuclear plant design
- Experience in multiple engineering disciplines and process development/improvement preferred
