About the role
- Manage a small team of data analysts to optimize analytics systems for Consumer Services. Identify trends to improve business insights and decision-making at Western Union.
Responsibilities
- develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems
- Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.
- Refine existing data sets and optimize existing reporting & dashboards for improved business insights
- Create best-practice reports, dashboards and presentations based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies
- Work directly with functional areas to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
- Manage and develop a small team of data analysts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data analytics and reporting experience.
- 1+ years in a lead or manager role.
- Bachelor’s in data analytics or similar field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
- Advanced SQL
- Python or R
- PowerBI or Tableau
- Basic Snowflake knowledge.
- Ability to synthesize complex data sets.
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way.
