About the role
- Associate Fiduciary Specialty Asset Manager supporting closely held asset management within Wells Fargo's Wealth & Investment Management division. Collaborating with clients and internal teams on asset management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Participate or provide support for a closely held asset portfolio comprised primarily of minority interests but also some more complex assets within Fiduciary Specialty Asset Products
- Negotiate sales, vote proxies, review financial statements, value closely held interests based on accepted valuation standards, participate in owner meetings, review partnership, operating and shareholder agreements, communicate with entity stakeholders including managers, clients, accountants, and attorneys
- Review less complex or tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
- Provide closely held asset management in accordance with the governing instruments, fiduciary laws, bank policies and procedures
- Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders, including internal and external customers
Requirements
- 6+ months of Fiduciary Specialty Asset Products experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience with wealth management and asset management
- Knowledge of finance, accounting and business valuation
- Knowledge of estate planning
- Relationship management and asset management experience in an environment serving private, high net worth clients
- Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance client relationships leading to increased revenue
- Sound judgment, problem solving, and risk assessment in the application of analytical conclusions and management recommendations
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and work effectively in a team environment
- Intermediate MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to quickly learn and develop advanced level use of software systems utilized by Closely Held Asset Management Services
