- Software Engineer III providing technical guidance and managing projects for Walmart. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable solutions in engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assists in providing guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects.
- Provides support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues.
- Manages small to large-sized complex projects.
- Troubleshoots business and production issues.
- Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Must have experience with designing and implementing REST API web services using Spring Boot and Java
- Experience with performing CRUD operations on NoSQL/SQL (Cassandra, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB) Database using Spring JPA and Hibernate
- Experience with deploying applications on Cloud using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes)
- Experience with performing unit testing for applications using Mockito and Wire Mock
- Experience with coding in an object-oriented programming language using Java
- Experience with utilizing version control tools (Git) to add code to GitHub
- Experience with automating workflows using Python
- Experience with writing batch jobs using Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Azure Databricks, Java 8, and Scala
- Experience with performing code reviews using Java
- Experience with troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis using monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana and Azure Application Insights).
