- Designer improving infrastructure in Michigan offices for Wade Trim. Requires drafting experience in natural gas industry and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D.
Responsibilities
- Improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices as part of the ICE team
- Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs, as-builts, and mechanical detail drawings
- Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD
- Generate bill of materials
- Work independently and create estimated time requirements for projects
- Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules
- Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc.
- Verify and organize field visit survey notes
- Assist Project Managers as needed
Requirements
- Candidates must have a high school diploma
- 1 or more years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry
- Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential
- Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required
- Experience with MicroStation and ESRI is a plus.
