About the role
- Buyer driving sourcing strategies and negotiations for electronic parts at Volkswagen. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve cost efficiencies and supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and effective negotiations for the procurement of electronic components, electrical parts, or engines (Powertrain), ensuring competitiveness and cost reduction;
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies with a focus on component localization and supply chain optimization;
- Actively participate in cross-functional meetings, fostering synergies among departments such as Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Finance;
- Create high-impact presentations and analyses using Excel (charts, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint to support decision-making;
- Manage relationships with national and international suppliers, including frequent interactions with partners in Germany and other countries;
- Monitor market trends and supply chain risks, proposing preventive and corrective actions;
- Perform cost analyses, benchmarking, and feasibility studies to support strategic purchasing decisions;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and applicable legal requirements;
- Use advanced/fluent English in international communications and negotiations; knowledge of German will be considered a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, Production, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Advanced Excel;
- Advanced/Fluent English;
- Knowledge of German will be considered a plus;
- Availability for domestic travel;
- Active Category B driver's license preferred.
