About the role
- IT-Systemadministrator ensuring functional IT infrastructure at VR PLUS and supporting employees with IT queries. Handling installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of systems.
Responsibilities
- Drive the digitalization of VR PLUS
- Ensure a functional IT infrastructure
- Install and configure software, hardware and networks
- Manage network servers
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor and maintain systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues and outages promptly
- Provide access controls, backups and firewalls
- Update systems
- Support employees with IT-related questions
- Conduct training on new IT technologies
- Maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science or a related field
- Relevant vocational IT training
- Proven professional experience in system and/or network administration
- Additional certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP or MCSA)
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Knowledge of databases, networking and patch management
- Solid understanding of system security and data backup/recovery
- Proficiency with VMware, Citrix and Veeam
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other languages
