About the role
- Controller focused on financial reporting and analysis at VW Group Digital Solutions in Portugal. Collaborating with Finance and business stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and analyzing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Working with financial and operational data to generate insights that support decision‑making across different business areas.
- Supporting month-end dosing activities (accruals, deferrals, allocations, invoicing and revenue).
- Supporting Internal and External audits.
- Planning of specific P&L Line Items of the business, with impact in all business units.
- Collaborating closely with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of financial information.
- Preparing clear, structured, and visually compelling presentations (PowerPoint) to communicate financial insights and recommendations.
- Contributing to the improvement and optimization of controlling processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Management, Economics, Management Control, or a related field.
- At least 3-4 years of professional experience in Management Control, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, or a similar finance role.
- Solid working knowledge of Excel, including formulas, data handling, and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with SAP FICO, namely with SAP transactions for GL, Cost Center and Purchase Order data extraction.
- Good command of PowerPoint, with the ability to structure messages clearly and support decision‑making.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and collaborative mindset.
- Analytical and structured approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to continuously improve processes and tools.
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g. VBA, Python, SQL, or similar) (Nice to have).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Nice to have).
- Interest in exploring digital tools and automation to improve efficiency (Nice to have).
