Roaming Deployment Engineer ensuring seamless technical enablement and performance of international roaming services. Collaborating with teams to manage interconnects for voice, SMS, and data services.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute service opening tests for voice, SMS, data, VoLTE, and 5G, ensuring accurate configuration and documentation (IR.21, IR.85).
Maintain routing and signalling setups across interconnect platforms and update partner configurations.
Analyse and resolve roaming and interconnect-related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with GSMA standards.
Validate readiness for new roaming launches and approve service opening test results and go-live status
Requirements
University degree in computer science, telecommunications, or equivalent.
2–3 years of experience in telecom engineering, preferably in roaming or interconnect.
In-depth knowledge of mobile network architecture (2G/3G/4G/5G).
Familiarity with signalling protocols: SS7, Diameter, SIP, GTP.
Experience with network elements such as HLR/HSS, STP, DRA, PGW/SGW, IMS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and stakeholder management.
Ability to manage projects and priorities with high attention to detail and adaptability to evolving technologies.
