About the role

• Financial Services Accountant responsible for bookkeeping and reporting for funds at Vistra. Collaborating to ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS standards based in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Preparation/Reviewing of bookkeeping (e.g. accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, movements in investments according to Dutch GAAP but also IFRS)
• Preparing/Reviewing of periodic reports
• Preparation/Reviewing of Financial Statements and assistance with statutory audits
• Preparing/Reviewing Capital Account Statements and Net Asset Values (Investor reporting)
• Reading/understanding Fund documents like Subscription documents, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements for existing/new funds
• Preparing/Reviewing capital call and distribution notices
• Preparing/Reviewing waterfall and equalization workings
• Coordinating and dealing with Fund investors on meeting investor’s specific reporting requirements
• Reviewing investor requests and any ad hoc requests from client
• Client contact and communication with our Centre of Excellence

Requirements

• Effective client-handling skills
• Strong prioritizing ability and organizational skills
• Analytical, meticulous, and systematic in approach to work
• Possess 2-3 years of experience in audit / accounting fields in Venture Capital/Private Equity Fund industry.
• Prior experience with another Fund Administrator or Fund Manager is preferred
• Sound knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Adequate excel skills
• Possess a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration or equivalent;
