About the role
- Accounting Manager overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance at the Farnborough MRO facility. Managing audits, reports, and AP/AR activities with a focus on financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting function for the Farnborough MRO facility.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close in accordance with corporate and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Lead preparation and coordination of annual statutory audits and internal audits.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional partners.
- Supervise and provide guidance to AP and AR teams to ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing or MRO environment.
- Good understanding of UK accounting standards, statutory reporting, and corporate governance.
- Proven experience managing the full accounting cycle, including audits and monthly close.
- Experience supervising small finance teams and collaborating across functional departments.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
