About the role
- Procurement Coordinator managing purchase orders and supplier interactions for Virtua Health. Handling order confirmations, backorders, and maintaining supplier relations in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all activities relating to the procurement and management of purchase orders
- Handles backorder situations and informs customers of delays
- Places all orders utilizing EDI, faxing, or by phone in a timely manner
- Reviews order confirmations for exceptions and responds to discrepancies
- Monitors and reviews open PO report and PO confirmations
- Works closely with receiving to ensure accurate processing of items
- Expedites past due orders by contacting vendors
- Researching and comparing suppliers, goods and services
Requirements
- 1 year progressively responsible experience in administrative support
- PC skills and experience in a windows based environment is required
- HS diploma required
- Associates degree preferred in a business-related area
