Responsibilities
Responsible for all activities relating to the procurement and management of purchase orders
Handles backorder situations and informs customers of delays
Places all orders utilizing EDI, faxing, or by phone in a timely manner
Reviews order confirmations for exceptions and responds to discrepancies
Monitors and reviews open PO report and PO confirmations
Works closely with receiving to ensure accurate processing of items
Expedites past due orders by contacting vendors
Researching and comparing suppliers, goods and services
Requirements
1 year progressively responsible experience in administrative support
PC skills and experience in a windows based environment is required
HS diploma required
Associates degree preferred in a business-related area
