About the role
- System Engineer focusing on Backup and infrastructure maintenance at Axians ICT in Austria. Collaborating on migration projects and ensuring the security of backup systems.
Responsibilities
- Part of the operations team; responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of our backup infrastructure (focus on Commvault)
- Troubleshooting incidents and fulfilling service requests within project guidelines
- Collaborating with various business units
- Assisting in the development of infrastructure services based on reference architectures for our customers
- Taking on fixed operational tasks and participating in scheduled on-call rotations
Requirements
- Completed IT education (apprenticeship, HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or university) or equivalent qualification
- Solid experience administering Windows and Linux servers
- Several years of professional experience in Backup & Storage and familiarity with the service-provider environment
- Experience in the administration and operation of Commvault is a major plus
- Fluent German and English skills
