About the role
- Working Student in Accounting supporting Finance team at Ververica, a real-time data processing pioneer. Assisting with accounting operations and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Help with bank reconciliations and expense processing
- Maintain and organize financial documentation (invoices, receipts, contracts)
- Participate in ad hoc finance projects, such as process improvements and automation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (especially Procurement and HR)
Requirements
- Enrolled student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Strong interest in accounting and financial processes
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (HGB, IFRS is a plus)
- Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a structured and independent working style
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
- Ability to work approximately 15–20 hours per week during the semester
