About the role

  • Finance Assistant providing maternity cover for the finance team at Verisk, focusing on accounts receivable and various finance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with customer invoicing, account reconciliations, and chasing outstanding payments
  • Support the maintenance of accurate financial records and documentation
  • Help resolve invoice queries by liaising with customers and internal teams
  • Support the team with the monthly revenue recognition and reporting
  • Assist the finance team during month-end tasks and audits
  • Have a basic proficiency in finance systems (such as Xero, Oracle) and a working proficiency on Excel
  • Carry out general finance administration and ad-hoc tasks as needed

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in continuing a career in finance
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn new processes
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively
  • Proactive, with the confidence to ask questions and seek support when needed
  • Recently qualified either ACCA or CIMA
  • Prior exposure to month end deadlines and reporting, and audit requirements.
