About the role
- Backend Developer developing scalable web applications for a digital media authentication startup. Working with AWS and Python to maintain and develop backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of backend components and systems using Python
- Administration and maintenance of AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, API Gateway, VPC, S3, and DynamoDB
- Containerization of applications using Docker and management of Docker environments
- Testing and debugging to ensure high software quality and performance
- Supporting troubleshooting efforts and providing technical solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 1–2 years of proven experience as a backend engineer or in a similar role, focusing on developing scalable web applications or platforms
- Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Python, Shell, Terraform, Flutter
- Experience with AI application layers (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, Codex, Gemini-CLI)
- Knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
- Initial experience working with AWS services such as EC2, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and technology stacks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for technology
- Nice to have: Experience with containerization technologies, especially Docker
- Nice to have: FastAPI experience
