About the role
- Application Systems Administrator overseeing infrastructure-as-code, scheduled automation, and application management at U.S. Bank. Requires extensive IT systems experience and expertise in complex job dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Be the SME in Infrastructure-as-code, development, Airflow, batch processing, & scheduled automation
- Supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of purchased applications or application frameworks
- Participates in the design configuration, problem diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of application systems and/or user group profiles
- Validates system functionality after changes
- Participates in testing and installing new software releases and application system upgrades
- Analyzes, monitors, and fine-tunes the application system to achieve optimum performance levels
- Works with internal infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve issues with hardware and software
- Maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation to ensure data integrity
- Participates with application system problem resolution by working with application developers, vendors and internal infrastructure team members to troubleshoot
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of experience in application development
- Expert knowledge of IT systems management
- SME in Infrastructure-as-code, development, Airflow, batch processing, & scheduled automation
- Expert knowledge of system software infrastructure, distribution and installation/support
- Extensive knowledge of application delivery including release management
- Deep understanding of Autosys job scheduling (AutoSys r11.x/r12 or higher preferred)
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex job dependencies
- Strong experience with scripting languages, such as Shell, Python, or Perl
- Experience in implementing the jobs to scheduler from the scratch
- Good experience in Creation and Administration of Job Schedules
