Responsibilities
Manages IL6 systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and requirements allocation for complex cloud and hybrid environments
Design and implement IL6 scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Support and troubleshoot IL6 VMs and servers
Architect, deploy, and integrate cloud-native applications and supporting services in IL6 environments
Supports Data Transport On-Call and Maintenance schedule as directed by program
Design and support containerized platforms and orchestration solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies
Optimize system availability, performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed cloud environments
Implement and Oversee Security IL6 best practices, including identity and access management, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
Support system integration, verification, validation, testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple technical domains
Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native architectures
Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution across teams
Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures
Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and design review support to junior and mid-level system engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
U.S. citizenship required
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II)
Expert-level experience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application architectures
Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security concepts
Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (e.g., Apache NiFi)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
